Gate Rehabilitation, Steel Repair, Structural Coatings
This project involved the comprehensive rehabilitation of four pairs of 90-ton sector gates on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. The rehabilitation included removing the gates, cleaning heavy marine growth, repairing/replacing corroded steel, sandblasting, and applying a three-coat paint system. The scope also covered replacing gate seals, machining hinge assemblies, installing new cathodic protection, and replacing wood fender protection before re-installing the gates. Associated work included rehabilitating 950 linear feet of timber pile mooring wall and replacing embedded ladders, corner armor, and guardrails on the lock walls.
