Steel Repair and Replacement, Concrete Rehabilitation

The repair project on the SR 237 bridge over the Ohio River, spanning between Perry County, Indiana, and Hancock County, Kentucky, was successfully completed by OCCI, Inc. The work addressed multiple critical maintenance and repair items necessary to preserve the bridge's structural integrity and extend its service life. Key components of the project included the maintenance and repair of the steel railing, the application of surface sealing to the bridge deck for enhanced protection, and comprehensive patching of the concrete substructure to restore durability. Furthermore, significant structural steel repair was performed on the primary load-bearing elements. To ensure safe and effective access for workers performing repairs and inspections on the underside of the bridge, particularly on the floor system, OCCI utilized a Safe Span under-bridge access platform mounted beneath the structure.
